Study: More ICU nurses lead to safer care

A new study shows that hospitals with more nurses have better infection rates for elderly patient populations.
The Columbia School of Nursing study showed that hospitals that staff more nurses per patient have better rates of central-line infections. The better-staffed units also posted better results for skin care infections and ventilator-associated pneumonia.
