Group to encourage patient involvement in care

The Partnership for Healthcare Excellence, a collection of consumer groups, physicians, nurses, and businesses, will launch an effort to get patients to ask more and better questions about their care, according to The Boston Globe.

The group hopes to improve patient safety and quality by increwasing the patietn's involvement in his or her own care. The campaign is funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and will include print ads, mailings, and a Web site.
