First HCAHPS data released to Hospital Compare Web site

The first Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data was released to the Hospital Compare Web site on March 28, giving patients the chance to judge hospitals based on their scores in certain areas. These areas include scores concerning surgical measures, heart attack, pneumonia, and communication among staff members as well as between patients and staff. The data was gathered by surveying patients at more than 2,500 hospitals.To visit the Web Site, click here.
