Connecticut Hospital Association announces effort to prevent MDROs

On January 30, the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) announced that it is hosting several different activities aimed at preventing multiple drug resistant organisms (MDRO). Staff members at state facilities will be able to take part in a series of activities, including an educational symposium, working groups, and a pledge. The first of these educational symposiums took place on February 1 and included a panel of experts on MDROs.

This effort also includes an MDRO collaborative, bringing together acute care and long-term care facilities. The groups will share strategies and information on techniques to prevent infections.
